Floating Bezel, slim and minimalistic
The Floating Bezel is a bespoke component mostly used on pendant and cathedral rings to achieve a very lightweight and fine design. These are also rarely seen mounted on very thick classic shanks in more modern designs.

Definitely not a very ordinary gem setting, the Floating bezel is an excellent option for medium to large gems that stand out thanks to its brilliance and excellent cut. With this type of setting the stone is only set by its girdle, making it appear floating, and leaving the great majority of the gem uncovered, visible from many angles, and sparkling to it's maximum.
